Every session is an opportunity to meet incredible people and capture their unique stories, and I'm here for it!
Curaçao is my home, but love stories are my compass — whether you’re dancing barefoot in golden light, hugging your babies close, or stepping into your power during a boudoir session… I’m here to capture it all.

"Do what you love and you never have to work again"
I didn’t always dream of becoming a photographer — I actually wanted to be a veterinarian, but life had other plans.
In 2017, when I was almost 15, I lost my grandmother — the woman who taught me how to see the world through different eyes. She left me her camera, and that changed everything. That camera became more than just an object; it was a way for me to release my emotions and find passion in a period of grief. And somewhere along the way, everything clicked — literally and emotionally.
How I got here
My business name, Melanie Veroniquee, is a blend of both our names (Melanie & Veronica) — a quiet tribute to the woman who shaped the way I see beauty in the everyday.
Then came 2020. In the stillness of lockdown, I picked up my camera again… and this time, I didn’t put it down. What started as a hobby became a passion — and now, my purpose. Photography, to me, isn’t about perfection. It’s about presence — the laughter, the quiet, the in-between moments that tell your story, and it’s my greatest joy to help you hold onto it all.
• Grandparents with their grandkids? That kind of love gets me every time, it’s the purest thing to witness.
• I’ll smile through your whole session… and then cry in the car afterwards, I'm just big in my feelings like that sometimes.
• Besides photography I love crocheting, puzzling and reading (yep, total nerd hahah)
• My favorite movie? Will forever be "The Lion King".
• For me love goes through the stomach, I'm love my kitchen and am happy to try anything! But fish unfortunately makes me sick...
Few fun facts
• I always dreamed of being a vet, but life had a better plan (though I still say I need a Jeep big enough to fit a dozen dogs).
• I moved to Curaçao for love — first for the island, then for my fiancé (who I met just six weeks before hopping on that flight).
• My favorite kind of day? Editing barefoot in the sun, playlist on, and my dog snoring next to me.
She under sold and over delivered ! I won’t share the details of that in case she’s unable to offer this to others booking in the future but I can verify that she’s very client focused. She was personable, timely, sweet and open minded to ideas and made this whole endeavour stress free, painless and FUN. I appreciated her respect toward another photographer in the area sharing the same space not having jeopardized an opportunity to capture the same setting (since we booked sunset).
When it came to editing, she kept me informed about her delivery expectations and process, and provided a teaser photo to keep my anxiousness and excitement at bay (Thank you so much) I was ready to make the announcement to family asap. She also accommodated edit specifications. We were super pleased with the outcome.
My husband and I felt that we have found a lifelong friend in Melanie and invited her to Canada and hope she takes us up on it one day.
Needless to say, you are in safe hands. I’m certain.

Discovered Melanie on Tik Tok and loved her style. I was very nervous about booking photography for an elopement in Curaçao from Canada but Melanie agreed to meet with me via video to ensure she was a real business / person. I'm your go-to photographer for all things love, empowerment, and connection – from weddings to boudoir and those adorable couple moments that make your heart do a happy dance! I'm all about capturing real, raw moments that tell your unique story.
My editing I'd say would be described as light and natural, with a little pop of color, but I love letting my creativity flow whenever I get the chance. I work mostly with natural light (hello, golden hour!) and love the freedom that outdoor sessions bring, but trust me — a cozy studio session? I'm just as obsessed. I love spontaneous moments, but will be there for you to guide you through your session and create memories you'll love looking back at.
