Hi! I'm Melanie, your photographer on Curacao
The story of how I became a photographer is deeply personal and close to my heart. Back in 2017, when I was almost 15, my grandmother passed away and left me her cherished camera. She was my greatest inspiration from a young age, a woman full of love for everything around her, a true inspiration to see things through different eyes. That camera became more than just an object; it was a way for me to release my emotions and find passion in a period of grief. My business name, "Melanie Veroniquee," came from a mixture of her (Veronica) and my name. She is the reason I found this great passion in life, and learned to find beauty in every little thing.
I believe photography is about more than just beautiful images. It’s about telling your story—the laughter, the love, the quiet in-between moments that make life extraordinary. My goal is to make you feel comfortable and confident, so we can create images that truly reflect who you are.
Photography isn’t just my job; it’s my passion. Based in the stunning island of Curaçao, I love capturing stories through my lens, turning fleeting moments into everlasting memories. Every session is unique, and I’m here to guide you through it with care, creativity, and connection.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me indulging in my love for all things creative—whether it’s getting lost in a good book, bringing out my love for food in the kitchen, or just enjoying music. Nature has my heart, especially animals, sunsets, and the ocean. Oh, and if you bring me chocolate or a smoothie, you’ve pretty much made my day! My all-time favorite movie? Still 'The Lion King.' While I adore many things, I’ll pass on sports, cockroaches, and heights, thanks!

Discovered Melanie on Tik Tok and loved her style. I was very nervous about booking photography for an elopement in Curaçao from Canada but Melanie agreed to meet with me via video to ensure she was a real business / person. I was so pleased with her professionalism, organization and responsiveness that I booked right away. With that, she provided details of locations and had me create a mood board to better understand my expectations.
She under sold and over delivered ! I won’t share the details of that in case she’s unable to offer this to others booking in the future but I can verify that she’s very client focused. She was personable, timely, sweet and open minded to ideas and made this whole endeavour stress free, painless and FUN . I appreciated her respect toward another photographer in the area sharing the same space not having jeopardized an opportunity to capture the same setting (since we booked sunset)
When it came to editing, she kept me informed about her delivery expectations and process, and provided a teaser photo to keep my anxiousness and excitement at bay (Thank you so much) I was ready to make the announcement to family asap. She also accommodated edit specifications. We were super pleased with the outcome.
My husband and I felt that we have found a lifelong friend in Melanie and invited her to Canada and hope she takes us up on it one day.
Needless to say, you are in safe hands. I’m certain.

I'm your go-to photographer for all things love, empowerment, and success – think weddings, boudoir, business, and those adorable couple moments that make your heart do a happy dance! I'm all about capturing real, raw moments that tell your unique story.
My editing I think would be described as light and natural, with a little pop of colour, but I love letting my creativity flow whenever I get the chance. I love to make use of natural lightning in a way to bring out the best of your session. You will therefore see that most of my sessions are outdoor, but oh do I love some studio sessions too! I love spontaneous moments, but will be there for you to guide you through your session and create memories you'll love looking back at.
